Tornio Old Bridge in Winter

Tornio old bridge was built more than four years. Construction was started in 4th of February 1935 and the grand opening was 9th of July 1939. Official name of the bridge is Hannulan silta, but nowadays locals call it just Tornio old bridge, because there is also newer and bigger bridge next to this old bridge.

The bridge is 252m long and when it was built it was biggest highway bridge construction in Finland.
