Tornio 2017 in Photos

Tomorrow is already last day of the year, so it's time to summarize this year 2017. I created this video, where is possible to see how the seasons change from one to another and something what happened during the year here in Tornio near Arctic Circle.

iPiccy Online Editor - Shine on Tornio Bridge

I edited this Tornio old bridge photo using online editor called iPiccy. It has lot of different kind of effects and tools to edit photos.

Lens: Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM
Shot: 1/30 sec. f/5.6 15mm ISO 400

Editing using iPiccy Online Editor: First I cropped the photo and used HDR effect. After that I added Shine effect, where is possible to set the center point, radius, intensity and also color of the rays. In this case I set the color to violet/purple.

End result after editing is quite interesting. What do you think?

Two Cities - Two Countries - One Photo

I took this photo next to our home in Tornio city center. On the front the buildings are in Tornio in Finland and in the middle there is Haparanda old water tower in Sweden.

Like you can see these two cities are in practice one even there is border between. That's why Tornio-Haparanda is also called Twin City.

Sunset in Frozen Torne River

Now Torne River is already totally frozen. This photo I took three weeks ago, when the middle part of the river was still open.

At the moment sunset is here in Tornio already at 13:58 and sun is above the horizon only 3 hours and 25min.

Christmas is coming

It's only two and half week for the Christmas and it's easy to see. This christmas tree photo I took on the front of Rajalla Mall in Tornio.
